Wedding poem for Sharon and Jason
Sharon and Jason
nouns of a new rhythm
invite one and all to kick off footwear of any kind
today is Dance Day One
the world outside gets clumsy, nervous,
it needs to understand how to dream again.
Jason and Sharon
have come today to teach this fearful world
how to move.
Kick off your footwear
kick off all weight
today we float in the empathetic atmosphere
today we hit all the right keys
Sharon and Jason are
building a house on the side of the unknown
you can come there and rest sometime
when the hours are just too long and hard to figure
Jason and Sharon are
voyaging up the mighty water
Wish them well
Their singing will find you
and give you hope
Their singing will
name you

HUMDINGER GOT A LICENSE PLATE
Humdinger got a license plate
Everyone else caught the disease
Master of ceremonies promises to behave
The airlines lose our brains
Humdinger breaks his finger trying to learn the dam
All that liquid that makes up people
It's certainly most assuredly going to blow
Right reverend and adept Doctor
claims the cure is his best friend
Humdinger knows better
The wind blew him in
Old noble dog just can't make the last taping
I love you though
It'll take days to find all the reasons
I love you though
