IT IS THE DEATH MACHINE
i have this feeling
of the symbolic value
of the sacking of
the museum in baghdad.
if our civilzation started there,
how fitting that it should come full circle
to do what it does best: destroy.
to make a long story short,
its reason for existence is
to subvert and destroy
everything in its path,
and in the end: itself.
its prevalent religion teaches,
out of an essential psychology of making war,
that any other way of thinking,
any other system of belief,
is inadequate and to be defeated.
it promises that the defeated
shall be afforded,
upon surrender,
everlasting life.
but its true message and meaning
is everlasting death.
it is the death machine.
